Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is trading in a range-bound manners, as the 50-stock index is moving with a deficit of about 15 points. The Nifty is trading around the 25,300 mark. The Sensex index down about 100 points, with the 30-point index is below the 82,500 mark. The IT stocks are in peril, with TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and Wipro are trading in red.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index, after opening with a deficit, has now recovered over 80 points, closing in on turning green. The Sensex index has also trimmed its losses majorly, and is now trading above 82,500. The markets are reacting to the GST 2.0 reforms, which are kicking off today.
The Midcap index, after trading with cuts earlier in the day, has recovered over 300 points from the day's lows to turn positive.
The IT stocks and the Nifty IT are under pressure after Donald Trump's decision to hike the fee levied on the H1-B visa. The top-tier IT stocks, including TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra, are trading with cuts.
The Nifty Midcap index, after trading in the red, recovered to turn positive; however, it is currently turning with cuts of about 30 points. The Nifty Bank index is also trading with some marginal gains.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Persistent, Mphasis, tech Mahindra, Coforge and Sagility.
