Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The good news for the Nifty today is that oil prices have dropped. Brent is now below $100, though still at uncomfortable levels. WTI plunged as much as 10% after US President Trump said that the Iran war would end soon.

Today is also the weekly expiry of the Nifty contracts. The not-so-good news is that the situation remains fragile and uncertain. However, the bulls would take heart from the reversal seen on Wall Street overnight and continue their recovery from Monday.

The intraday low of 23,697 now becomes a make-or-break level for the index to prevent a slide down to 23,200 levels, as many chartists feared. In case the index does move higher today, the first aim would be to sustain above the 24,000 mark.

The Nifty Bank, which also recovered 800 points from the lows of the day, will look to defend Monday's low of 55,270 and sustain above 56,000 on the upside.

Watch out for stocks like Dixon, Eternal, Swiggy, and stocks with exposure to the Middle East like L&T.
