Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are looking to maintain momentum, as the Nifty index is above the 22,600 mark with gains of about 60 points. The Nifty Bank is surging with gains of 250 points. Trent, Kotak Bank and BSE are the biggest gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are building on the momentum derived in the previous session; the indices are on the rise, with the Nifty index rising above the 22,600 mark by 80 points. The Sensex is up 250 points, rising to 72,600.
The Nifty bank is also walking shoulder to shoulder and is above the 55,000 mark with gains of over 300 points.
The Nifty Bank, the stronger among the two indices, also found pressure above the 55,000 mark, courtesy of HDFC Bank's underperformance, but the bulls would aim to retest the 55,000 - 55,200 zone on the upside, while looking for support between the 54,350 - 54,500 zone.
While oil prices cooled overnight, bond yields continue to remain at elevated levels. IT stocks will be watched as the AI trade globally continues to find buyers, with the Nasdaq hitting record highs overnight. Monday's high of 22,621 on the Nifty will be the first level to cross for the bulls, while support may emerge between the 22,350 - 22,400 zone.
Business updates continue and more banking stocks, Kotak, Axis, IndusInd will be reacting to the same. However, Trent could be the stock to watch out for after its 23% revenue growth in Q2.
