Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: 80 Nifty Midcap 100 constituents, and 67 Nifty Smallcap 100 constituents ended with losses on Wednesday. 25,800 was touted to be a key support level for the Nifty, but it has closed below that level. Sustaining above that will remain the key for preventing any further fall towards 25,500.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty continues to grind lower as the recent fall as taken the index at least 600 points adrift of its record high levels. The index heads into the Sensex weekly expiry on the back of a three-day fall, led mainly by the pain in the broader markets, which continued to underperform.
80 Nifty Midcap 100 constituents and 67 Nifty Smallcap 100 constituents ended with losses on Wednesday. 25,800 was touted to be a key support level for the Nifty, but it has closed below that level. Sustaining above that will remain the key for preventing any further fall towards 25,500.
Every recovery in the Nifty or the market in general is getting sold into. The markets do have some solace from Wall Street due to the overnight rally after the Fed eased, but projected fewer cuts for 2026.
Metals will remain in focus after the Fed rate cut and outlook. TCS has made an acquisition, and IndiGo cuts guidance, while primary market activity remains hot with two IPOs open for subscription and the fourth-largest of the year, ICICI Prudential AMC opening for subscription on Friday. Continue to watch for EMS names like Kaynes, Dixon and the rest after Wednesday's free-fall.
