Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index has started the day on cautious note, as the 50-stock index is trading with gains of over 50 points, trading just around 24,800. The Sensex index is trading with gains of close to 200 points. The index is inching close to 81,000. Some of the big gainers include Tata Steel, JSW Steel, M&M and Adani Enterprises.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 index is trading with gains of close to 90 points. The Nifty 50 index is moving swiftly above the 24,800 mark. The Sensex index is trading with gains of close to 300 points. The 30-stock index is trading with momentum, above the 81,000 mark.
This positive uptick in the indices comes after a thaw in the India-US relationship after an exchange of positive comments between Donald Trump and Narendra Modi.
The Nifty Bank is on the rise, jumping over 200 points after being under pressure the last few sessions.
In the larger market, the midcap and smallcap indices are outperforming the frontline indices. The Nifty Midcap 100 index is up over 420 points. The Nifty Smallcap index is up 0.50%
Apart from IT, also watch for FMCG names as they too witnessed profit booking on the final day of the week. Friday's low of 24,621 and high of 24,832 will be key to watch for the Nifty, as it made a lower high on Friday.
