Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is trading above the 24,650 mark with marginal gains of just about 20 points. The Sensex index is up 60 points, taking the index to 80,400. JSW Steel, Hero Motocorp, Power Grid, Hindalco an Asian Paints are aong the gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is trading just around 24,650. The Index is now trading with gains of around 20 points. This comes as the benchmark looks to protect itself from an eighth consecutive trading session of losses.
The Sensex index is also trading with marginal gains of about 100 points, inching above 80,400. The Nifty Bank is trying to hold strong as it looks to regain 55,000, with a 200-point rise in its overall value.
When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices are trading in similar territory with marginal gains, with the Nifty Midcap 100 index up about 50 points.
This session is crucial, as today is not just the monthly expiry for the Nifty contracts, but also the final day of the month and the quarter, before an action-packed second-half of the week begins, starting with the Auto sales data, quarterly business updates and the RBI Monetary Policy.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks are Blue Dart, J&K Bank, Netweb Tech, Hindustan Copper, IDBI Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, and Bank of India among others
