The 26,000 level will be key for the Nifty, while the Nifty Bank, which broke below 59,500 on Tuesday, and is down over 800 points from its peak, will have an important support at 59,000.

That, though, appears distant, as the index is already off 300 points from those levels. Expiry-related volatility, further weakness in the rupee, heavyweights declining, everything went wrong for the Nifty on Tuesday. The index even broke below 26,000 briefly but closed above it.
