Stock Market Live Update: Multiple moving parts dominate Nifty proceedings on the final trading day of yet another truncated week. Today is the Sensex weekly expiry. More so, a lot will hinge on US President Donald Trump's address to the nation on the Iran war just a few minutes from now.
The details of his speech, the subsequent reaction in oil prices, could be a key determining factor as to how Indian equities open for trade.
The Nifty did recover on Wednesday but could not sustain at higher levels. Oil prices still hover around the $100 a barrel mark. 23,000 remains the key for the index, while holding 51,000 will be key for the Nifty Bank.
Currency markets will open for trade after Wednesday's holiday and will react to the latest steps by the RBI. Companies have already begun reporting their Q4 and FY26 business updates, and plenty of action is expected on that front too.
