Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: As we enter the second half of the day's trade, the market is looking nervy, and has now snapped any resistance to fall below steeply. The Nifty is trading around 23,800, with a fall of around 100 points. The Nifty bank is also trading largely flat, as the index is aiming for the 54,900 mark. Eicher Motors, Indigo and ONGC are amongst the biggest laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: It is past noon on Dalal Street, and after holding onto 23,900, the markets appear to have given up the defence, as Indian markets are on a cautious note and after resisting, the bear is at the day's low. The Nifty is under pressure and has now fallen below the 23,800 mark. The Sensex is also playing on the same patch, falling 300 points, falling below the 76,000 mark.
Brent continues to remain below $100 a barrel, and the bulls would take that with both hands.
For Nifty, 24,000 continues to act as a barrier for the index, while a close above 23,800 will be crucial to head into the new month on a positive note.
Same for the Nifty Bank, a close above 55,000 for the week will be taken positively, with the 54,750 - 54,500 zone emerging as an immediate support.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Bharat Dynamics, GE Shipping, Schneider Electric, MCX and Swiggy among others.
