Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Tuesday's gain were aided by IT and a close near the day's high would please the bulls. Tuesday was also the second straight day of the Nifty making higher highs and higher lows on the charts. Banks though, remain a pain point with another day of underperformance from the Nifty Bank.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Another day of trying to analyse which side of US President Donald Trump should market participants choose.
The Nifty 50, on a five-day gaining streak, albeit in consolidation mode, now faces the prospects of reacting to more remarks made by the US President on his relations with India. Trump wrote on Truth Social that both countries will continue to negotiate and he looks forward to speaking with his "good friend" Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the flip side, Bloomberg reported that Trump is ready to impose sweeping tariffs on India and China to bring Russian President Putin to the negotiating table, but that is only if all European Union nations impose similar tariffs. For the Nifty, conviction at higher levels continues to remain absent, although the index is making a slow grind upwards.

The index will remain in focus today ahead of the Kotak Mahindra Bank block deal. Also watch for shrimp feed exporters, Vodafone Idea, and Sun Pharma after the recent Halol developments.
