Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is trading with a deficit of about 100 points, slipping below 24,650. This comes after Donald Trump escalated the tariff tiff with threats of another set of tariffs.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index has fallen below the 24,700 mark, continuing to show resilience after Trump's extended tariff threats against India. The Sensex index has also declined by over 400 points. In addition to that, the Indian Rupee is under pressure, as the currency has slipped to its worst in 6 months, falling to its lowest in 6 months.
Some of the key stocks in focus include IndusInd Bank. The private lender's shares rose by 5% after the company appointed its new CEO & MD.
In addition, today is also the first weekly expiry of the Sensex contracts for the August series, along with Day 2 of the RBI Monetary Policy Committee meeting.
Reacting to their results, the likes of DLF and Aurobindo Pharma are trading in red, with DLF trading with a decline of 2%.
Nifty earnings return today with Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports, along with broader market names like Berger Paints, Lupin, Exide, Gujarat Gas, MTAR Tech, NCC, and Torrent Power.
