Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Indian equity markets snapped a four-day gaining streak on Tuesday, with the benchmarks ending lower after a volatile session. The Nifty fell 85 points to close at 23,329, while the Sensex declined 330 points to 74,529.

The Nifty Bank fell 255 points to 56,215, while the Midcap index slipped 50 points to 61,963.

IT stocks remained under pressure, with the Nifty IT index emerging as the top losing sectoral index.

Coal India was the top Nifty gainer, rising more than 3% after a Morgan Stanley upgrade. Meesho jumped nearly 10% after UBS raised its target.

Optiemus Infra surged 20% after the company expanded its partnership with CMF by Nothing, while Transrail gained more than 15% on capacity expansion.

Among other stocks, Augmont and Symbiotec fell more than 3% each after reporting their Q1 results. Pace Digitek jumped over 7% following an order win, while PI Industries rose 3% after the company received registration for India's first discovered insecticide.

Tata Group stocks ended largely lower, with declines of up to 3%.
