Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: We are in the second half of the day's trade, and the markets have broken out of an early volatile spell and are extending upon the gains from the past 6 sessions. The Nifty is now surging with gains of over 100 points, jumping to 24,650. The Nifty Bank is up 100 points. M&M, Titan and HDFC Bank are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and in the second half, the markets have remained resilient, and have quickly bounced back from the lows of the day, pushing past the volatile movement in the early hours. The Nifty is up over 150 points, rising towards 24,700. The Sensex is up over 700 points, rising to the 80,000 mark, at a 9-month high.
The Nifty Midcap index remains the odd man out trading a mammoth 600 points down.
The Nifty is in the final trading day of Samvat 2082 on the back of a six-day rally, that has seen the index gain over 2,000 points from the lows of 22,497 on October 28. In case these gains do hold by the close, this could well turn out to be the best week for the Nifty 50 for 2026.
For today's session, the bulls would want to defend 24,500 and in case of a dip, Thursday's low of 24,308 could be the key to watch.
For the Nifty Bank, after an almost 2,000-point rally in a single session on Thursday, the 58,000 level on the upside is back in play and since the range is a broad one, the 57,000 level on the downside is one that bulls would want to protect. The final few days of the results season also keep stocks like ONGC, Titan, Hindalco, and others in the spotlight.
