Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: At market closing, the Sensex fell 559 points to 83,675, and the Nifty was down 147 points, closing at 25,807, slipping below the 25,850-mark.

Nearly 30 Nifty stocks closed in the red, with Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro among top losers.

AI fears continued to weigh over Nifty IT through the day as IT stocks extended losses, falling over 5.5% for the day. More notably, TCS' market capitalisation slipped below ₹10 lakh crore for the first time since December 2020.

Market watchers are looking forward to results from Astra Microwave, Biocon, Coal India, Cohance Life, Hindalco, Indian Hotels,  Lupin, Muthoot Finance, ONGC among others.
