Another bridge collapsed overnight and derailed a train in Russia’s Kursk region, the governor said Sunday, hours after a similar incident killed at least seven people in another region bordering Ukraine.

“Last night… in the Zheleznogorsk district, a bridge collapsed while a freight locomotive was passing. Part of the train fell onto the road below the bridge," Alexander Khinshtein said on Telegram.

Earlier, a bridge collapsed in a Russian region bordering Ukraine on Saturday, resulting in at least seven fatalities, according to the governor. Moscow Railways attributed the incident to “illegal interference."

“There are seven dead as a result of the collapse of a bridge onto railway tracks. Thirty victims, including two children, were taken to medical facilities of the Bryansk region," Aleksandr Bogomaz, the regional governor, wrote on Telegram.

According to the Moscow Railways, the incident happened at 10:44 pm (1944 GMT) between Pilshino and Vygonichi stations in the Bryansk region.
