The Russian man was arrested in St. Petersburg for allegedly murdering his ex-wife, a Pobeda flight attendant, at Dubai's Voco Bonnington hotel.

A 41-year-old Russian national has been arrested for allegedly killing his ex-wife, a flight attendant. The incident took place at a 5-star hotel in Dubai where 25-year-old Anastasia was found dead with at least 15 stab wounds.

According to The NY Post, the man allegedly killed his ex over suspicion that she worked as a high-end escort while they were still married.

The accused, identified as Albert Morgan, was arrested on suspicion of murder immediately after his plane touched down in St. Petersburg. As per the reports, Morgan allegedly stalked his ex-wife to the United Arab Emirates.

He reached Dubai’s Voco Bonnington hotel and reportedly posed as a guest. Furthermore, he persuaded a maid to let him enter the woman’s room.

Initially, Morgan didn’t plan to kill Anastasia, his plan was to douse her in green paint and use the scissors to chop off her hair. However, during a fight between the two, she was killed and Morgan fled from the scene, NY reported.

According to the local media, the victim, a flight attendant at Russian airline Pobeda, was found with at least 15 stab wounds to her neck, torso and limbs.

Dubai police identified Morgan as the suspect from security footage and informed Russian authorities, who arrested him upon his arrival at St. Petersburg.

Once in custody, Morgan reportedly requested to be sent to fight for Russia in Ukraine — a tactic that many alleged Russian criminals have used to avoid prison time.

Morgan and Anastasia separated after two years of marriage.
