Stocks like TRIL, Graphite India, Trent were some of the major earnings casualties during the course of the day. TRIL started in a 20% lower circuit and ended at that. Trent too remained the top Nifty 50 loser with a 7.5% fall after multiple downgrades. Among companies that reported results today, Graphite India shares fell 7%, while V-Mart Retail staged a sharp recovery from the lows of the day, ending 4.4% lower. On the positive side, HBL Engineering shares ended with gains of 12%, while NALCO shares gained 10% on very strong volumes. Stocks like Nykaa, Torrent Pharma, ended at 52-week high levels with gains of over 6% each. Among results still awaited, Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Vodafone Idea are among the important names. While Bajaj Finance ended at the day's high, Vodafone Idea fell over a percent ahead of the earnings announcement. HEG, Sula, Syrma SGS are some of the other major announcements awaited later today.
