Addressing a rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that many people in Bengal still do not have access to drinking water. He asserted that if a BJP government comes to power in the state, a transformation similar to Tripura would take place, ensuring basic amenities for every household.

Appealing directly to the mothers and sisters of Bengal, the BJP said that as long as the Trinamool remained in power, children would not be safe. The Prime Minister claimed that the TMC had held protests and dharnas to protect infiltrators, provided them with facilities, and sought to establish them as a vote bank. He alleged that the party was willing to go to any extent to appease them. Emphasising border security, Modi said his government was taking concrete steps, including writing to authorities regarding land issues along border areas, to ensure national security is not compromised.
