PM Modi West Bengal Visit, Singur Rally Today Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a major public rally in Singur, West Bengal, today, as part of his two-day visit to the poll-bound state. During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 830 crores.
With the rally scheduled to be held at 3:30 P.M. today, over 4,000 police personnel have been deployed at the site, locally known as ‘Tatar Math’.
“Our Government is committed to adding momentum to West Bengal’s growth journey. In Singur today, important development works will be launched or their foundation stones laid”, PM Modi wrote in a post on ‘X’.
“The works include: Laying the Foundation Stone of Extended Port Gate System at Balagarh, including Inland Water Transport (IWT) Terminal and Road Overbridge. Launching of Electric Catamaran at Kolkata. Inauguration of new rail line between Jayrambati and Maynapur. Flagging off of trains, including Amrit Bharat trains”, he added.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi sounded the poll bugle in West Bengal’s Malda, with the slogan “Dorkar Chai BJP Sorkar”. He also flagged off India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train, connecting Howrah and Guwahati.
