Baffled by India’s precision strikes against terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif backtracked on his own claims of taking three Indian soldiers as Prisoners of War (PoW).
According to reports, Asif withdrew his earlier statement and said that none of the soldiers were captured, however, he went on to make a false claim that the Indian soldiers abandoned their posts. He gave no proof for his bizarre claim.
This comes after Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor and carried out precision strikes on terror camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing at least 17 terrorists and injuring over 60 others.
Unlike the previous two retaliatory attacks that were carried out in PoK, this time the bombing took place in Pakistan’s Punjab. 4 targets in Punjab were struck, including the headquarters of JeM, LeT, while 5 targets were hit in PoK, officials said.
