Noise has mostly launched affordable products but this comes with a Bose badge and it weighs heavy in more than one way

Noise and Bose have teamed up for the new headphones
Noise is one of the many affordable brands in the country that has a wide range of products, including the audio gear. The company has relatively played it safe with its approach but a recent decision to team up Bose (yes, the same Bose) got many people intrigued.
The Noise Master Buds Max headphones is one of the first from this deal, and this is being pitched as a capable yet affordable wireless headphone with noise cancellation.
Bose has been a premium brand for many years but its recent shift towards working with the more accessible brands is a move that has got everyone’s attention. The Noise Master Buds Max is a by-product that looks to appeal to more buyers, giving them quality audio at an affordable price.
Design And Build Quality
When you hold the Master Buds Max for the first time, you can be deceived about its price tag, and like the overall design and build quality on offer. The company has focused on style to some extent but mostly it has emphasised on the comfort part of the product which is essential if you are going to wear something over the head for a few hours.

The soft cushion on the earcups and the top band, the foldable band to make it easy to store in the bag, these things might sound basic but make up for a pleasant experience.

The headphone weighs around 260 grams which further highlights the ease to wear and not feeling heavy on the head that causes discomfort. The mix of the materials and the design aid its durability without adding heft to the unit.
The Useful Additions
The headphones come with 40mm dynamic drivers and you get ANC supported in all its versions, including the transparency mode. The Master Buds Max has physical controls to let you turn on the ANC, switch between the modes and even turn off the device.

The placement of these buttons could have been better so that you can easily reach them while you are wearing it. While the headphone is foldable to a certain degree, the earcups cannot be replaced which leaves us concerned about its longevity with wear and tear over time.

You can pair the Master Buds Max with the Noise Audio Master Buds app which is surprisingly intuitive, easy to use, and offers all the required customisations for ANC, equaliser and also the ability to find your device if you misplace them.
How Does It Sound?
Now that we have covered the design and comfort part, time to look at the actual value of the product which is the audio quality. You can immediately make a sense that Bose has made some valuable input in the audio delivery of the Master Buds Max. The bass is tight which means it doesn’t overpower the music but you don’t feel the thump is lacking, so the balance is ideal.

The soundstage has the right traits you want but don’t usually get with headphones in this range, so Noise (with help of Bose) surprises on the side. The ANC levels are good as long the ambient sound is kept to a level, and not very strong when you are moving about which is not a bad thing though. So, yes, the audio part of the Master Buds Max is a good first attempt and we are eager to see how it evolves.
Does It Last?
Noise claims the Master Buds Max can last for around 60 hours, so how do they fair in real usage? We got them running for quite a bit on a single charge and over a week we need the headphone charged only one time.

Our usage included 2 to 3 hours of listening across periods which takes it closer to the numbers offered by the brand. So, yes, these can last for a good while and you don’t have to worry about battery anxiety with its small top-up available for a quick boost.
Noise Master Buds Max has the Bose name attached to it and for Rs 11,999 (sold earlier for under 10K) this is a good first product from the brand. The soundstage is wide, the bass impact is tight and the ANC is mostly acceptable. The battery life is also going to keep you good.
