Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in good overall health, his office said in a detailed medical report. The report, signed by his personal physician Dr Tzvi Herman Berkowitz, urologist Prof Alon Pikarsky of Hadassah Medical Center and internal medicine specialist Prof Ehud Grossman, said Netanyahu’s prostate condition was benign. However, it confirmed he is still being treated with antibiotics for a urinary tract infection following prostate surgery late last year.

According to the document, Netanyahu’s blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels are all normal. Comprehensive laboratory tests, including blood counts, liver and kidney function and electrolyte levels, were also found to be within normal ranges, indicating stable overall health.
The report also reviewed Netanyahu’s cardiac condition following the implantation of a pacemaker in July 2023. Prof Roy Beinart, head of the Arrhythmia Institute at Sheba Medical Center, said there have been no signs of arrhythmia or other heart-related complications since the procedure.
“The prime minister is completely stable from a cardiac perspective and does not require any treatment beyond routine follow-up," Beinart said, adding that there are no restrictions on his physical activity.

The document further detailed Netanyahu’s recent medical history, including surgery in April 2024 to repair a right inguinal hernia. A full-body CT scan conducted before that operation revealed an enlarged prostate, small bladder stones and a bladder obstruction.
Netanyahu underwent prostate removal surgery using laser technology on December 29 last year. Doctors said the removed prostate tissue was benign and showed no signs of cancer. He continues to receive treatment for a urinary infection that developed after the procedure.
The report also noted that Netanyahu undergoes regular colonoscopy screenings in line with standard medical guidelines, with his most recent test returning normal results.
