Emmanuel Macron India AI Summit 2026 LIVE Updates: French President Emmanuel Macron will attend the AI Impact Summit hosted by India in Delhi on Wednesday.
Macron and France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday for an official three-day visit to India from 17 to 19 February 2026. This is his fourth official visit to India.
At a joint press meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Macron thanked him for the welcome and spoke about attending the AI summit.
India-France Year Of Innovation Launched
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Macron inaugurated the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 at the Gateway of India.
Speaking at the India-France Innovation Forum, Macron said the question is no longer whether India innovates, but who will innovate with India. He said France wants to be that partner and added, “We are here. We want to be here with you. And we are not leaving.”
He also announced an Innovation Day to be held before the G7, led by Franco-Indian initiatives and bringing together students and researchers. Macron said France wants to be a trusted partner so that both countries’ industries can deliver unique cooperation.
AI Impact Summit
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being held from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. It is the first major global AI event hosted in the Global South.
The summit, organised under the IndiaAI Mission, focuses on People, Planet and Progress. It features 12 indigenous foundation models in 22 Indian languages and pavilions from France, Japan, the UK and others.

AI Summit 2026 Delhi Live Updates: 'India Must Be Top Three In AI By 2047,' Say PM Modi
PM Modi said India must become one of the world’s top three AI superpowers by 2047, outlining an ambitious national tech vision.
India is hosting the AI Impact Summit 2026 for the first time in the Global South. The motto is “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhaye” – Welfare for All, Happiness of All.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said AI stands at a civilisational turning point. It can expand human capability but may also test social foundations if left unguided. The summit focuses on impact that ensures fair and meaningful outcomes, not just innovation. Technology must serve humanity, not replace it.
The summit centres on People, Planet and Progress, aiming to spread AI’s benefits widely and support global development in a human-centric way, he added.
