Amid the ongoing political unrest in Venezuela, Elon Musk has announced to provide free internet across the country through February 3. The SpaceX-owned Starlink announced it was providing free broadband internet services in the country.

Musk reshared Starlink’s post on X and wrote, “In support of the people of Venezuela."

The announcement came after the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by the United States.

Tesla CEO publicly congratulated US President Donald Trump after the capture of Maduro and his wife.

In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Musk wrote, “Congratulations, President Trump! This is a win for the world and a clear message to

evil dictators everywhere."

Elon Musk’s 2-Year-Old Post Resurfaces

Amid the controversy, Elon Musk’s two-year-old post where he told Venezuelan President that “He is coming." The post on X reads, “I’m coming for you, Maduro! I will carry you to Gitmo on a donkey."

As per the reports, Musk was responding to a video allegedly claiming that Venezuelan President Maduro gave “direct orders to his security forces, instructing them to keep Elon Musk out at all costs."

The United States conducted a military intervention in Venezuela overnight, resulting in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores.
