PTI insiders claimed Imran Khan has been beaten and subjected to high-intensity confinement

Imran Khan’s sisters have reached the High Court for immediate meeting with him.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is being tortured in Adiala jail and kept in near-complete isolation, party sources told CNN-News18. PTI insiders claimed Khan has been beaten and subjected to high-intensity confinement.
Khan has had no meaningful access to family or legal teams for weeks, said sources.
His physical condition is reportedly not great, with insiders confirming that the deterioration is happening slowly. According to sources, this is linked to sustained pressure, harsh treatment, and restricted communication.
Earlier the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister was routinely allowed to meet him, but sources say those meetings were used to issue misleadingly positive health updates. “He was masking the real situation inside the prison," said sources.
Authorities fear that if Khan’s sisters publicly highlight his condition, the situation could escalate into nationwide protests
Meanwhile, Khan’s sisters have reached the High Court to file petition for immediate meeting with him.
Fight intensifies
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi staged an overnight sit-in outside the jail after being denied a meeting with Khan for the eighth consecutive time, Dawn reported.
The protest began on Thursday afternoon and included members of the KP cabinet, with visuals shared by the PTI showing Afridi and party workers offering Fajr prayers outside the prison on Friday morning.
According to Dawn, Afridi announced on the party’s livestream that the sit-in was being wrapped up and that he would now approach the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Referring to an incident involving Imran’s sisters outside Adiala last week, he said, “You have seen their condition yourself; they were grabbed by their hair and disrespected."
Afridi accused authorities of using such “tactics" to “break the spirit" of the former prime minister.
He also alleged that Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi, “who is a pious woman," was being targeted in an attempt to “break" Imran.
He remarked, “A province is being treated like a stepmother," adding that such treatment of a representative of 25 million people was unacceptable.
Former aide Zulfi Bukhari said no one had seen Imran since November 4, and no reason had been provided for denying meetings, Dawn reported.
