Macron defended the deal with India to procure 114 new Rafale jets, saying it strengthens India's military power and creates more job opportunities.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who is currently in India for the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, defended the Rafale deal with India, saying it makes India a stronger military power, creates more jobs and boosts the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Speaking to reporters ahead of a bilateral summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Macron said India had confirmed its willingness to command a new batch of Rafale jets, and described it as a “new step forward" for India-France defence cooperation.
