HG Infra wins ₹3,931-cr highway project from Welspun Enterprises in Maharashtra

Infrastructure development company HG Infra Engineering Ltd on Monday (May 11) said it has received a letter of award from Welspun Enterprises Limited for a highway construction project in Maharashtra worth ₹3,931.11 crore, excluding taxes.

The project involves the construction of a 6-lane (including partially elevated) highway corridor along with the improvement of the existing road, covering the Pune to Shirur section of NH-753F with a minimum design length of 53.40 km.

The contract is awarded on an item-rate basis and is classified as a domestic project. The execution period for the project is 36 months. The company stated that the promoter, promoter group or group companies have no interest in the awarding entity and the contract does not fall under related party transactions.

Last month, HG Infra Engineering Ltd said it had received an order worth ₹519.33 crore from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited for railway infrastructure development works in Uttar Pradesh.

The company said the order was received on April 13, 2026, for the execution of civil works, including earthwork, bridges and station buildings, along with P-way works for a 2x800 MW thermal power project at Mirzapur.

The project will be executed under an item rate/BOQ mode, with a total contract value of ₹519.33 crore, including taxes. The execution period for the project is 18 months.

The company stated that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity.

Shares of HG Infra Engineering Ltd ended at ₹634.20, up by ₹8.60, or 1.37%, on the BSE today, May 11.
