Private sector port Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (GPPL) handled 174,000 TEUs of containers in the third quarter of FY26, marginally down from 177,000 TEUs in the same quarter last year.
The company on Thursday, January 8, informed the exchanges of its operational data for the third quarter and nine months ended December 2025.
Dry bulk cargo rose to 0.87 million tonnes from 0.72 million tonnes in the year-ago period. Liquid cargo volumes increased marginally to 0.40 million tonnes, compared with 0.39 million tonnes in the previous year.
The port also saw significant growth in roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) traffic, with 62,000 units handled, up from 44,000 units last year. Container train operations touched 438 trains.
On a year-to-date basis, the port managed 502,000 TEUs of containers, 2.45 million tonnes of dry bulk, 1.20 million tonnes of liquid cargo, and 161,000 Ro-Ro units, reflecting a strong performance when compared with the same period last year.
In October 2025, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Maritime Board for proposed investments worth ₹17,000 crore.
Shares of the company is trading at ₹186.64 apiece as of 12:52 pm on the NSE which is 1.29% below the day's opening.
