Golgotia University showcased a unique robotic dog at the ongoing AI Impact Summit in Delhi this week and many were intrigued to see the product, which they claimed was made by their in-house engineers. Turns out, this is a China-made model called Unitree Go2 Robotic which doesn’t cost crores to make or sell and you can buy it for under $3000 (Rs 2.67 lakh approx) which is close to what most of these AI-powered robots cost in the market.

Without going into the controversy around this gadget, we are taking a closer look at the make, features and overall specs of the Unitree Go2 Robotic dog, what it offers and its capabilities.

Unitree Go2 Robotic Dog: How Much It Costs

The Unitree Go2 robot dog comes in two versions, with their prices starting at $1,600 (Rs 1.45 lakh approx) for the Air variant and going up to $2,800 (Rs 2.45 lakh approx) for the Go2 Pro version that was showcased at the Summit.

Unitree Go2 Robotic Dog Features, Specs And Other Use

The Unitree Go2 robotic dog is an AI-powered, quadruped model that is claimed to have been built and designed to handle multi-sided mobility. The Pro version comes with higher speed for better navigation and movement like backflips and jumping across the space and having 360-degree LiDAR sensors allows the robotic dog to move around easily.

It has been trained with capabilities like climbing, jumping, and even supports voice control to do it without you using any physical remote to make it move. The company says Go2 is suited for the education and research segment but also can cater to other needs like companionship, just like a normal dog.

The LiDAR sensors have been equipped on the Go2 robot to evade obstacles on its way, just like the autonomous mode works on four wheelers and this also helps the robot handle dark conditions.

The AI side of the Go2 robot relies on the GPT model that helps it make decisions, and improve its overall tracking of users in the area.

For connectivity the robot gets WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and 4G which helps with real-time image transmission in HD quality and also lets you remotely control the device via a smartphone app.

The base version has a 8000mAh battery capable of lasting around 2 hours while the Pro model can do a few more hours with a bigger battery packed inside the Go2 Pro version from Unitree.
