Business Jet Crashes At London's Southend Airport, Casualties Unknown

A small business jet crashed during take-off at London Southend Airport around 4pm (local time) on Sunday, triggering panic among onlookers who reported a “huge fireball" and thick black smoke billowing from the site.

The aircraft, identified as a Beech B200 Super King Air, was scheduled to fly from Southend to Lelystad in the Netherlands, according to flight tracking data from Flightradar. It crashed shortly after departure.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene. As of now, there is no official word on the number of people on board or any casualties. Authorities have cordoned off the area, and fire and rescue operations are underway.

Videos from witnesses show flames and smoke engulfing the crash site moments after the aircraft went down.

According to BNO News, the aircraft involved was owned by Zeusch Aviation, a Dutch company based in the Netherlands. It remains unclear how many people were on board at the time of the crash, though the aircraft can typically carry up to 11 passengers.
