Vodafone Idea Ltd (Vi) on Thursday, December 18, announced that its subsidiary, Vodafone Idea Telecom Infrastructure Limited (VITIL), has successfully raised ₹3,300 crore through the issuance of unlisted, unrated, secured non-convertible debentures (NCDs).

The regulatory filing said the fundraise attracted strong demand from a diversified pool of marquee investors, including large non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), and alternative investment funds (AIFs), with subscriptions exceeding the issue size.

Vi said the proceeds from the NCD issuance will be utilised by VITIL to meet its payment obligations to the parent company. This, in turn, will help Vi strengthen its capital expenditure plans and support business growth.

Commenting on the development, Abhijit Kishore, CEO of Vodafone Idea Ltd, said the successful fundraise reflects investor confidence in the company’s long-term strategy and vision. “This capital strengthens our momentum as we continue to scale our network and enhance services for our customers,” he said, adding that discussions with banks for long-term debt to support capex are ongoing.
