Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had received information from the United States about preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow, Russian news agency RIA reported on Saturday.
The FSB said the information came through established partner channels and that it was taking appropriate measures in response.
Separately, the US Embassy in Moscow said it was "aware of a credible threat of a mass casualty event" scheduled for Saturday at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve in Moscow.
The embassy also said the US government was coordinating with Russian authorities over the threat.
