Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that they had struck an oil tanker in the Gulf amid ongoing conflict with Israel and the United States.

“This morning, an oil tanker with the trade name Prima was hit by an exploding drone after ignoring repeated warnings from the IRGC naval forces regarding the prohibition of traffic and the insecurity of the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement read.

At the Raisina Dialogue 2026, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke about the incident involving an Iranian ship struck by a U.S. submarine in the Indian ocean off the Sri Lankan coast.

“I too support UNCLOS and international law… We got a message from the Iranian side that one of the ships, which presumably was closest to our borders at that point of time, wanted to come into our port. They were reporting that they were having problems… On the 1st March, we said you can come in and it took them a few days to sail in and then they docked in Kochi… There were a lot of young cadets… When the ships had set out and when they came here, the situation was totally different… They were coming in for a fleet review and then they got in a way caught on the wrong side of events… One obviously had a similar situation in Sri Lanka, they took the decision which they did and one of them unfortunately didn’t make it… We approached the situation from the point of view of humanity, other than whatever the legal issues were and I think we did the right thing,” he said.

At least eight people were killed Saturday in the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran’s central province of Isfahan.

“Eight citizens, including a woman, were martyred in these terrorist attacks,” said Akbar Salehi, a security official at the governor’s office in Isfahan province, according to Tasnim news agency.

“The UAE’s air defenses are currently dealing with incoming missile and drone threats from Iran. The Ministry of Defense confirms that the sounds heard in various areas of the country are the result of the air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles, and fighter jets intercepting drones and loitering munitions”, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Defence.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they were “waiting” for US forces to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

The remarks came after the U.S. energy secretary said the Navy was preparing to escort vessels through the strait “as soon as it’s reasonable to do it”.

“We are waiting for their presence,” Guards spokesman Ali Mohammad Naini said.

The US military announced a major escalation in its military campaign, saying over 3,000 targets were struck in the first week of Operation ‘Epic Fury’.

“U.S. forces have struck over 3,000 targets in the first week of Operation Epic Fury, and we are not slowing down,” the US Central Command said.

The United States has approved the sale of 12,000 BLU-110A/B general-purpose bomb bodies to Israel worth USD 151.8 million, the U.S. State Department said.

The development comes as Israel and the United States engage in high-intensity war against Iran.

Explosions were heard in Dubai and Bahrain’s capital Manama, according to AFP, as continued retaliatory strikes on the Gulf nations.

Two blasts were heard in Dubai, while another explosion was reported in Manama. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry urged people to stay calm and move to safer spaces.

Clashes broke out along the Lebanon-Syria border as Israeli forces attempted a landing operation, with Hezbollah saying its fighters were involved in the confrontation.

Citing the Lebanese health ministry, the state-run News Agency (NNA) said Israeli strikes on Nabi resulted in the death of at least three people, with 16 others wounded.

Amid raging conflict in West Asia, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced alarm sirens had been activated and urged citizens and residents to remain calm, move to the nearest safe location, and follow official channels for updates.

An Iranian drone reportedly exploded over Dubai Airport in the UAE, forcing several flights bound for Dubai to be held.

Explosions were reported in Israel’s capital city, Jerusalem, following an Iranian missile alert, according to a report by news agency AFP.

The Israeli military announced it had detected new missile launches heading toward Be’er Sheva.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned that Iran will now face a major military operation from U.S. forces.

Speaking on “Kudlow” on Friday, Bessent said the Washington was preparing a significant bombing campaign to target Iran’s missile infrastructure.

“Tonight will be our biggest bombing campaign, and we’ll do the most damage to the Iranian missile launchers, the factories that build the missiles, and we are substantially degrading them,” Bessent told FOX Business host Larry Kudlow.

At least three people were killed and 16 others were injured as Israeli launched airstrikes near a mountain town in eastern Lebanon on Saturday, the country’s health ministry said, as reported by news agency AP.

The U.S. military is preparing to deploy a third aircraft carrier in West Asia as Israel announced a new wave of “broad-scale” airstrikes on Tehran. Meanwhile, Donald Trump announced the escalating Middle East conflict would end only if Iran agreed to “unconditional surrender.”

Saudi Arabia said six drones attempting to attack Shaybah oil field were intercepted. Previously, it stated an Iranian ballistic missile fired at air base was intercepted.

The development comes as West Asia continues to struggle with raging conflict, following Iranian strikes in retaliation for the coordinated U.S.-Israeli attacks on Tehran.

Russia provided Iran with information that could help Tehran target American warships, aircraft and other assets in West Asia, according to a report by Associated Press, citing two officials familiar with US intelligence on the matter.

The report said it is “the first indication that Moscow has sought to get involved in the war.”

Saudi Arabia said Saturday it had intercepted a ballistic missile fired at an air base in Riyadh, as Iran intensified attacks across the Gulf, in response to the coordinated U.S.-Israeli strikes.

“A ballistic missile launched towards Prince Sultan Air Base was intercepted and destroyed,” the Saudi defence ministry said in a post on X.
