US Central Command (CENTCOM) has requested additional military intelligence officers from the Pentagon to support operations against Iran at its headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
The reinforcements are expected to assist with operational planning and intelligence work for at least 100 days, reports suggested.
In a separate update on X, CENTCOM said it is continuing to target mobile missile launchers across Iran. “The effort to eliminate the Iranian regime’s mobile missile launch capabilities continues. We are finding and destroying these threats with lethal precision," the Command said.

The development came after an American submarine torpedoed and sunk an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, killing 87 people. This was the first sinking of an enemy ship by torpedo since World War II.
Meanwhile, Iran on Thursday launched a new wave of attacks at Israeli and American bases and threatened that the United States would “bitterly regret" torpedoing an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean.
Earlier in the morning, Israel announced multiple incoming missile attacks and said that air sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
The US Navy sank an Iranian warship on Tuesday night in the Indian Ocean, killing at least dozens of Iranian sailors, which Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi decried on Thursday as “an atrocity at sea".
“Frigate Dena, a guest of India’s Navy carrying almost 130 sailors, was struck in international waters without warning," he wrote on social media. “Mark my words: The U.S. will come to bitterly regret (the) precedent it has set."
