Trump recently hinted at a possible exit from the prevailing West Asia conflict that has killed thousands in the last one month.

Donald Trump to address US on April 1
US President Donald Trump will address the nation on April 1, where he will likely share an update on the US’s next course of action in the ongoing month-long Iran war.
The White House announced Trump’s national address moments after the US President hinted at a possible end to the Middle East conflict that has destabilised the region and disrupted the global energy markets.
“We'll be leaving very soon,” Trump said while speaking at the White House on Tuesday. He added that the withdrawal of the US military might occur in either the next two or the next three weeks.
Hence, it is being widely speculated that Trump might announce an end to the US military action that started on February 28, targeting the residences and offices of several top-level Iranian officials, including the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The strikes assassinated Khamenei, along with several other leaders.
NO DEAL NEEDED, TRUMP’S BIG CLAIM
Trump said that Tehran does not need a diplomatic agreement to end the war with Washington, contradicting Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth’s words that the US President is open to signing a deal with Iran to put an end to the West Asia war that has killed thousands in the last one month.
“Iran doesn't have to make a deal. No, they do not have to make a deal with me,” Trump mentioned in his speech.
Washington earlier sent a 15-point truce proposal to Tehran, which included conditions like a curb on the nuclear programme, an end to support for proxy groups and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
As Trump denounces the deal, doubts are mounting over whether the US. will uphold its original conditions while drafting a potential exit strategy that Trump might announce tomorrow.
WILL PUT IRAN IN STONE AGE, SAYS TRUMP
The US President on Tuesday said that military action would end only after “putting Iran into stone ages”, so that the country could not have the ability to develop its nuclear facilities quickly.
It seems that Washington has not stepped away from its original demand of not letting Iran develop its nuclear facilities. In his April 1 speech, Trump might address the concern and share an update on the existing condition of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
REGIME CHANGE IN QUESTION
On Sunday, Trump said that Iran went through not one but two regime changes this year. He further added that the new government under Mojtaba Khamenei is way more “reasonable” than its predecessors, Trump said, as reported by The Atlantic.
This marks a significant shift from Trump’s earlier stances, where he expressed his dissatisfaction with Khamenei being chosen as the next Supreme Leader of Iran.
In an eight-minute-long interview with Axios, Trump said that Iran needed a leader who would not continue with the policies framed by the previous regime. He said that Iran needs someone who could bring peace and harmony to the region.
“They are wasting their time. Khamenei's son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela," Trump told Axios when he was asked about Khamenei's son,” he said.
As Trump is going to address the nation tomorrow, eyes will be on all these concerns.
