Thai Student Kicks, Injures Female Math Teacher's Ribs For 18/20 Test Score; Video Surfaces

The school student attacked his math teacher after she deducted two marks in an examination. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

A school student in Thailand assaulted his female teacher for not awarding him full marks and deducting 2 marks in math in a mid-term examination, according to local media reports.

The incident took place on August 5 at a private school in Uthai Thani, the video of which surfaced online.

The CCTV footage showed the Class 11 student slapping the teacher and kicking her in front of the entire class, as other students attempted to intervene and save her from the shocking assault.

How Did The Incident Take Place?

According to The Bangkok Post, the incident took place over a score in the maths test, in which the student secured 18 out of 20.

The student approached the teacher to seek an answer as to why he did not score full marks. She told him that even though his answers were correct, he failed to show the working process that the questions demanded. She further suggested him to ask other teachers if they also followed the same marking structure, The Bangkok Post reported.

After consultation with other teachers, the student entered the classroom and asked her to give him full marks. Upon her refusal to do the same, he became angered and left the classroom after kicking a desk.

He, however, returned to the classroom a few minutes later and asked her to apologise to him. She refused to do so, and the student attacked her.

The media report said that the teacher sustained grave injuries, including an injured left eye, a swollen head, and sore ribs. She was given medical attention after the incident.

The student was suspended from the class, after which he requested to leave the school. The teacher has also filed a police complaint.
