US President Donald Trump has criticised the US Supreme Court’s decision to block his global tariffs, calling it a “very unfortunate ruling".

Addressing supporters, Trump said new tariffs could be “far worse" but would ease the financial burden on Americans.

The US President said the Dow and S&P were rallying because of tariffs. He claimed that countries which were “ripping us so badly" are now paying tariffs and are happy with the deals made.

“Countries that were ripping us so badly are now paying tariffs. And they are happy, we are happy. Democrats may not agree but they know. Supreme Court ruling is unfortunate. But good news is all countries who have made the deal want to keep the deal they made on tariffs," he said.

The US Supreme Court last week blocked his global tariffs. Trump further also warned that new tariffs could be harsher.

Trump said foreign countries would pay income tax, which would reduce the financial burden on Americans.
