Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last Shah toppled in the 1979 Islamic Revolution, issued a call regime change in Tehran, declaring that the Islamic Republic is collapsing and that the time has come for the Iranian people to “reclaim Iran."
In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Reza Pahlavi said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had “gone into hiding underground" and lost control of the country, describing the moment as “irreversible."
“The end of the Islamic Republic is the end of its 46-year war against the Iranian nation," he wrote, adding, “Now is the time to rise."
Donald Trump On Ayatollah Khamenei
His remarks come as tensions between Israel and Iran escalated. In a series of posts on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said that Washington knows Ayatollah Khamenei’s location and could eliminate him but is holding back.
“He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," Donald Trump wrote, adding that he was holding off to avoid retaliation against American civilians and troops.
Donald Trump, who cut short his G7 trip amid the escalating regional conflict, publicly demanded “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER" from Iran. He rejected talk of a ceasefire, saying, “We’re looking for better than a ceasefire… I didn’t say I was looking for a ceasefire. I told them, ‘Do the deal.’"
Reza Pahlavi On Iran-Israel Conflict
Reza Pahlavi described the Islamic Republic’s internal security apparatus as unraveling and claimed he had received messages of support from within the military and police. He urged them not to defend a “decaying regime" and to join the people in a peaceful transition to democracy.
“We are prepared for the first hundred days after the fall, for the transitional period, and for the establishment of a national and democratic government—by the Iranian people and for the Iranian people," Reza Pahlavi said.
