Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets look to make the most of the new momentum of the new series as the Nifty index has surged by over 200 points, rising towards 25,400. The Nifty Bank index has surged over 300 points, rising towards the 59,000 mark. ONGC, Axis Bank, Hindalco, Coal India, Tata Motors PV, and NTPC are among the major gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are back in the game and are gathering momentum; the Nifty index has surged by 100 points, trading close to 25,300. The Sensex index is also in a similar territory, with the index surging over 250 points, trading around 82,100 mark.
However, the market still remains a little jittery, and therefore, on the upside, 25,200 - 25,250 will be the first hurdle to cross.
Brent is now at $67, levels last seen in October. Higher oil prices are generally negative for net oil importers.
That, of course, keeps oil sensitivities in focus, from upstream explorers like ONGC, Oil India to downstream refiners like HPCL, BPCL, and IOC.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Hindustan Copper, Oil India, IGIL, MRPL, MCX, CG Power, ONGC and Ola Electric among others.
