Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are trading on a cautious note. The Nifty index is above the 24,700, up over 60 points. The Sensex index is up nearly 150 points, inching closer to 80,600.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is up over 60 points, as it looks to recover from the previous slump. The 50-stock index is above the 24,700 mark. From the September 18 high of 25,448, the index has given up 800 points as of Friday's closing.
The Sensex index is trading with gains of close to 200 points, taking the index to 80,600. The Nifty Bank index is up over 150 points as well, as it looks to regain the 55,000 mark.
When we look at the broader market, the Nifty Midcap 100 index is up over 350 points, after suffering major losses. The Nifty smallcap index is up 100 points.
HUL stocks are down over 2% after the company's business update for the second quarter.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Sammaan Capital, Wockhardt Pharma, Usha Martin, Hindustan Copper, Home First Fin among other stocks.
