Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty, after a volatile first half, is now trading closer to the 25,000 mark, with gains of over 110 points. The Sensex index is trading with major gains of close to 400 points, rising towards the 81,700 mark. At the Nifty 50 end, the IT stocks are the ones holding the end, with the likes of Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra among the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty appears to have gathered some momentum after having a relatively volatile day at the bourse so far, as the markets have swung from highs to lows in the early hours of the day's trade. The Nifty is currently trading with gains of over 120 points, inching closer to the 25,000 mark. The Sensex is trading with gains of close to 400 points, trading above 81,700.
The Nifty IT sectoral index is the best-performing index with a major surge of close to 2.7%, or 960 points, with the likes of TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, and Wipro are among the top gainers
The paper stocks have been in the limelight in today's trading session. Some of the buzzing stocks in this avenue include Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers, JK Paper Limited, West Coast Paper, and Andhra Paper, among other paper stocks surged.
