Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index after a shaky start is now trading with gains of 140 points, rising towards 25,350. The Sensex index is up above over 450 points, taking the index above the 82,600. Power Grid, ONGC, Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto and SBI are among the gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is up by over 120 points, rising to over 25,350 mark, the index is now above Tuesday's high of 25,230. The Sensex index is also rising, with an uptick of over 400 points, jumping to the 82,650 mark.
The Nifty Bank is at the forefront of the surge today, as the index is up over 550 points, with Axis Bank, SBI, Canara Bank, and HDFC Bank among the gainers.
Defying expectations, the shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), along with Tata Elxsi, the two big names to report their results, declined significantly.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks are Reliance Power, Jyoti CNC, Tata Communications, Yes Bank, and Redington, among others.
Some of the sectors contributing to this on Dalal Street include the Nifty PSU bank, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Pharma.
