Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After falling over 80 points in the opening hour of the day's trade, the Nifty index found its feet, recovering, while continuing to trade in red.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The streak of losses does not seem to be losing its intensity, as the markets started with cuts. The Nifty index is trading with a deficit of over 60 points, pushing the Nifty index below the 25,000 mark. The Sensex has incurred a cut of close to 300 points, trading below the 83,500 mark.
The shares of Sona BLW surged by 10% in the opening hours of the day. Apart from that, major sectors saw collective decline. Reeling under pressure ahead fo results, the IT stocks decline. In addition, the defense stocks, including Garden Reach, Cochin Shipyard, and Bharat Dynamics dropped in value.
The Q1 earnings season has not taken off the way it should have, with both TCS and Tata Elxsi delivering disappointing quarters. That makes today's results of HCLTech even more important to gauge a broader trend of how the Indian IT industry is likely to perform this time around.
The Q1 earnings-bound stocks like HCL Tech are trading 1% lower. The shares of Ola Electric are trading in green with gains of under 1%. Tata Tech shares are also trading in red.
