In case the Nifty fails to close above 24,175 today, it will be the fourth straight weekly loss for the benchmark index.

Thursday's high of 24,025 will be the first level to watch on the upside, while for the Nifty Bank, sustaining above 57,500 will be key. Oil prices remain near $96 a barrel. Block deals continue, with one likely in Gland Pharma today, while primary market action continues as well with the listing of ESDS.
