Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The Nifty heads into the final trading day of the week in cautious mode after a strong three-day upmove. It could well have been the fourth day as well considering the moves seen in the first half of Thursday's session. However, after hitting an intraday high of 26,009, the index cooled off sharply, ending below the mark of 25,900. That 26,000 mark remains the key hurdle for the Nifty on the upside. However, after hitting an intraday high of 26,009, the index cooled off sharply, ending below the mark of 25,900. That 26,000 mark remains the key hurdle for the Nifty on the upside. IT and bank stocks led the index lower after scaling 26,000.
IT stocks will remain in the spotlight after the overnight sell-off on Nasdaq and Wall Street in general. The cautious tone also emerges ahead of the Bihar election outcome, which will be known in a few hours from now.
In what can well be called the final day of this quarter's results season, stocks like LG Electronics India, Tata Motors CV, NSDL, Bharat Dynamics, among a host of others will be reacting to their results. On the other hand, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Siemens, Glenmark, Exide, Inox Wind, Allcargo, Natco Pharma, Marico, among others report results today.
