Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index, after starting above 24,800 is now trading below the 24,700 mark. The Sensex index is also in red after falling over 250 points, falling below the 80,500 mark. TCS, Infosys, ICICI bank and ITC are among the losers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 index is trading with losses of just about 60 points, as it is set to return to weekly gains as it steps into the final trading day of the first week of September. The index is trading below the 24,700 mark. The Sensex index is trading with a drop of 250 points, as the index tries to move below 80,500.
The Nifty bank index, which corrected 450 points from the high, as of today, is trading with gains of 0.18%.
In the broader markets, the midcap and smallcap indices are also under pressure like the frontline market. The Nifty Midcap 100 index is down 0.34%. The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is down 0.18%.
Some of the Niva Bupa, RBL bank, Netweb Tech, JM Financial and BSE are among the major gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks.
