Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets have been struck by a colossus of uncertainty as the Nifty index trades about 500 points lower, giving up the gains of this week. The Nifty Bank index is down another 1,500 points as well. The headline-leading HDFC Bank is the top loser with a decline of close to 5%.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are under immense pressure, with the Nifty index falling close to 500 points, with this fall taking the total tally to 23,300. The Sensex index is down over 1,500 points, falling towards the 75,000 mark.
The Sensex weekly expiry today is fraught with challenges. The Nifty is up 850 points from Monday's lows, but all of that is being tested today
Brent is back near $112 a barrel, and US crude is near $100.
For the Nifty, 23,500 on the downside now becomes an important level to watch, while 23,800 - 24,000 remains a resistance band. If the Nifty Bank is unable to hold 55,000, then 54,500 comes into play again.
The shares of HPCL, BPCL, Shriram Finance, NBCC, HDFC Bank, KPIT Tech, PetroNet are in decline, and are amongst the top losers among Nifty 500 stocks.
