Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index after a shaky start is now trading with gains of 60 points, jumping to 25,250. The Sensex index is up above over 200 points, taking the index above the 82,400. Power Grid, ONGC, Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto and SBI are among the gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is up by over 60 points, rising to over 25,250 mark, the index is now above Tuesday's high of 25,230.
Contrary to the last two sessions, when the Nifty closed near the day's low after slipping from the highs, Thursday saw the index recover from the lows to end near the session's highs. The index also, by the smallest of margins, made a higher high and a higher low on the charts. The 25,200 - 25,250 level remains a barrier, though for the Nifty as it struggled to get past that level on Thursday as well.
The focus on IT stocks has meant that the Nifty Bank has taken a backseat, but it still managed to close above 56,000, despite the underperformance. The spotlight will also be on Midcap IT stocks after Tata Elxsi's results, particularly on its peers such as KPIT Tech and Tata Technologies.
Today is also the listing of WeWork India, whose ₹3,000 crore IPO managed to see full subscription on the final day due to institutional bidding, as NII and retail portions remained undersubscribed.
