Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon, and the indices are in the second half od the day's trade. Markets have managed to mark a major recovery after being under immense pressure. The Nifty index is now up over 40 points and rising to 23,700. The Nifty Bank index is largely flat, falling below 53,000. Tata Steel, BEL and Nestle India are top losers.

The Nifty is stuck in a range yet again. The Nifty will likely see support at the 23,500 mark, below which, the recent lows between 23,250 and 23,350 could come into play yet again.
The Nifty IT index is up nearly 0.50%. IT is doing the heavy lifting while banks are keeping any enthusiasm in check with their underperformance.
The Nifty Bank is down in seven out of the last eight sessions.
The Nifty faces a challenge to conquer the 50-DMA closer to the 23,800 mark, a level it failed to sustain above even on Tuesday. For the Nifty Bank, the 53,000 to 54,000 range remains.
