Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are looking to make a comeback as the Nifty index is rising towards the 25,700 mark, after a 70 point rise. The Sensex index is up over 200 points, with the index climbing the 83,500 mark. Some of the major gainers include Asian Paints, BEL, Titan, ONGC, Infosys, L&T amomg others.

This is a crucial session for Nifty, as the index is coming on the back of two straight weekly losses in what could be the final week of this quarter's earnings season.
The US Senate has officially voted to end the longest government shutdown in US history. This could aid the markets further in today's trade.
For Nifty, it will also look at the downside; Friday's low of 25,318 also becomes a key level.
The Nifty Bank's 700-point recovery on Friday was a key contributor to the Nifty reversal and the focus will remain on banking stocks.
